BLUMENTHAL ANNOUNCES $593K FEDERAL GRANT TO HELP FORMERLY INCARCERATED PEOPLE FIND EMPLOYMENT
Funding supports job training, job placement and support services for people re-entering society
(Hartford, CT) – On Thursday, August 18 at 1 PM in Hartford, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) announced a $593k federal grant to Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) to support their programs helping formerly incarcerated people find employment.
The program serves formerly incarcerated residents of Hartford County with career services, workforce training, job placement, and mental and behavioral health services.
Due to COVID-19 safety measures, the number of released individuals has dramatically increased, underscoring the need for employment and training resources.
