Capital Workforce Partners' REACH Health Career Initiative 

Healthcare employers may be eligible for up to 50% wage reimbursement for On-the-Job Training of newly hired positions in medical coding, information technology and nursing. Read more:  Health Careers Project Flyer

Two programs are currently available which subsidize training and wage reimbursement for unemployed new hires:

Subsidized Training and Employment Program
- Wage subsidy for new hires for six months (up to $20 per hour excluding benefits)
- For companies with not more than 100 full-time employees.

Veterans
- Based on Subsidized Training and Employment Program model
-Companies can be any size

CTWorks Business Consultants can connect you to these growth-driven incentives issued through the Department of Economic and Community Development.

Department of Labor's Incumbent Worker Training 

Your company may be eligible for a 50/50 dollar-for-dollar match in training dollars to advance employees and help you be more competitive.

Subsidized Employment  

Subsidized employment programs invests public funds for jobs for people by paying all or some of their wages. This can be beneficial for both the employers as well as job seekers who can build their on-the-job skills.  The employer gets more work done, and the employee gains work experience and real life skills to better position them for full time employment.

Wages and benefits are paid directly to employees through the American Job Center!
