Introduction to Machine Technology
In-person manufacturing job training at
CT State Asnuntuck Campus, in Enfield, CT
Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:00PM
Topics include:

- Basic Layout Functions
- Basic Milling & Lathe Operations
- Introduction to CNC Machining
- Shop Math Basics
- Reading Blueprints (including GD&T)
- Common Measuring Tools
- Workplace Safety
Potential Entry-Level Career Paths after completion: CNC Operator, Quality Inspection, and/or Manual Machining
Certifications: Introduction to Machine Technology Certificate of Completion from Asnuntuck CT State Community College
Introduction to Manufacturing
In-person manufacturing job training at
CT State Capital Campus, in Hartford, CT
Monday – Friday, 4:30PM – 9:30PM
Topics include:

- Shop Math Basics
- Reading Blueprints (including GD&T)
- OSHA Safety
- Sigma Six
Potential Entry-Level Career Paths after completion: Machinist, CNC Machine Operator, Inspector, Assembler, Supply Chain Management, Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) Buyer
Certifications: OSHA 10, Sigma Six White Belt, Introduction to Machine Technology Certificate of Completion from Capital CT State Community College

Do I have to be unemployed to participate in the Career ConneCT Manufacturing Job Training program?
No. You may also be eligible to participate in Career ConneCT Manufacturing Job Trainings if you:
- Are working part-time
- Were displaced from your job due to COVID or are unable to look for a better job opportunity because of COVID
- Are underemployed, which means you are working but your job does not match your former wages or your education/skill level
- Have a job that is temporary, interim, per diem, on-and-off, or unstable
- Have a job but want to change careers for the opportunity to earn higher wages and advance in a career
