IMPACT

Capital Workforce Partners (CWP) drives workforce innovation and opportunity across 37 towns in North Central Connecticut, strengthening the region’s economy by connecting people, businesses, and community partners to meaningful career pathways.

Through a broad network of workforce professionals, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and the CWP Board of Directors, CWP helps make local youth future-ready while providing job readiness services, career training, and employment support to adults across our communities. These efforts open doors for job seekers—including opportunity youth, returning citizens, individuals with disabilities, and underemployed residents—to build skills, secure employment, and achieve long-term stability.

At the same time, CWP partners with employers to develop smart workforce strategies, support industry-driven training, and lead regional sector partnerships that strengthen talent pipelines. Working through the American Job Center network and strong public-private collaboration, CWP ensures businesses have access to skilled workers while helping residents build lasting careers.

Together, these partnerships create opportunity, support local businesses, and build a more resilient, inclusive workforce across the entire North Central region.
