Capital Workforce Partners Selects American Job Center Service Provider
for the North Central Region of Connecticut

HARTFORD – July 31, 2019 – Capital Workforce Partners has selected its new One-Stop Services provider to operate the American Job Centers in the North Central Region.  The organization selected is EDSI (Educational Data Systems, Inc.), who have top level expertise in workforce development and performance management, as well as demonstrated success in helping individuals to become self-sufficient.

EDSI was selected to provide career services and was particularly noted for the innovative “Attracting, Training, and Retaining Top Talent” model they will bring to job seekers and businesses in the North Central Connecticut Region. EDSI is a national workforce development, talent solutions and consulting company with a passion for helping great companies and communities train and retain great people. EDSI works with regions, employers and jobseekers to overcome their most challenging obstacles. For over 40 years, EDSI has worked with workforce development agencies, regional partners and employers to assess and understand workforce development needs and deliver solutions to build better workforces. While the service provider is changing, many of the employees who have been delivering high quality services in the American Job Centers in the North Central Connecticut Region will remain the same.  EDSI will begin its programming effective August 1, 2019 for services at the American Job Centers in Hartford, Hartford Public Library, New Britain, Enfield, East Hartford, Manchester and Bristol, Connecticut. The transition will be seamless for those who are seeking assistance while the services provided will be continuously enhanced.

Services provided by EDSI will include: in-depth career testing and interpretation, career planning, occupational training and job development, and placement and retention support.

The partnership of the region’s Workforce Development Board (Capital Workforce Partners) and the State of Connecticut Department of Labor, along with CWP partners, is critical in assisting job seekers to find quality and sustainable career paths, to in turn meet the workforce needs of area businesses.
