REACH connects Skilled Workers to Healthcare Employers
Safe Passage Management is the latest employer to benefit from the REACH program offered by Capital Workforce Partners. Andrew and Matthew were hired on a full time permanent basis, and will be stationed at Hartford Hospital. Both individuals graduated from UConn’s Intraoperative Neuromonitoring program, and they will work mainly in the Operating Room, continuing to receive training in a clinical setting, getting familiar with the computer software, securing patient informat...ion and enhancing their hands-on clinical experience by recording and interpreting electrophysiological data and assisting senior on-line neurophysiologists.
Before this opportunity came along, Matthew was underemployed, working as a part-time Sales Associate at Home Depot and Andrew was working part-time as a research assistant and part-time as a bartender. With the training funds offered by Capital Workforce Partners through US-DOL’s Ready to Work grant and with the help of REACH program Re-employment Specialist Mohamed Chaouki, both Matthew and Andrew are on a “full-time” healthcare career pathway toward long term success.
