Quinn Duva

Quinn Duva, a 22 year old resident of East Hartford, CT started the WIOA Youth program on September 11, 2018. Quinn expressed interest in manufacturing because he wanted to learn more about being a Machine Operator.

Quinn is a soft spoken, motivated, and dedicated young adult. He received his certificate of completion on December 5, 2018 as an enrollee of the Knowledge 2 Careers (K2C) Manufacturing Program sponsored by KRA through Capital Workforce Partners.
Quinn, identified as an introvert through his participation in our program, demonstrated his eagerness to overcome adversity. He faced challenges during the interview process due to his quiet and reserved demeanor. Quinn worked in collaboration with the career counselor to overcome his difficulty with interviewing skills.

Mr. Duva completed job readiness week and on-one-one interviews to address his interviewing needs. With a perfect attendance record, he accelerated and exceled through the K2C program with laser focus on the end result – employment.

Quinn completed his On the Job Training experience at a local manufacturing firm, DaCruz Manufacturing located in Bristol, CT as a CNC Operator Trainee. Quinn started his work experience on January 21, 2019 and has been offered a permanent position. Quinn is now saving for his own apartment and helping parent with household finances.

The Chief Financial Officer indicated that Quinn is doing very well. Quinn is the definition of a success story. He faces challenges head on and follows through with his goals to accomplish his dreams. Quinn is so excited for his journey in manufacturing and he is grateful for the WIOA youth program because it put him on the right track to obtain his vocational and employment goals. We recognized the hard work and dedication it took for Quinn to get this far and we commend him for an exceptional job well done!
